Graduation, done.

Last week I graduated with a 2:1 in English Literature and I couldn't be happier with that. There's still some unfinished business and I hope to continue my life of education further. Right now I have to enjoy my achievement. The last three years have been the most turbulent and breathtaking in my life to date, enriched by the friendships I've made, the child I birthed, the relationship with the person I plan to marry, and the great minds of the tutors I respect and admire and feel humbled to of been in the presence of.
Wednesday was strange. I was all worked up with concern for Jamie having to look after(restrain) Molly just a few days after having an operation on his arm. I hadn't stopped to think about the ceremony or the fact that this was one of the last times I would be together with all of my friends for quite some time. I cried on and off throughout my graduation, I wasn't expecting to miss my dad so much. And then saying goodbye to my friends. Sobbing in the street outside the casino will be a  memory that will stick, I'm still a bit frozen by it all. We're all going to go on to do great things, I have no doubt and I feel incredibly lucky to of made my friends for life. A set of women who have given me strength over the last three years I didn't know I had. When we will be together again I'm not sure. But our care for each other won't fizzle out. And I'll be here for each one of them when they need me. This goes too for the boys of course.
My next plan, I'm not sure. I know I wish to continue my academic journey, and hopefully contribute something meaningful in the process. But it's a waiting/saving up game on that. I guess I just have to keep working and figure that one out over the next twelve months. Well that's graduation done on the check list anyway!
We did it ladies, we did it!!
