OH SOOOOOOFAAAAAAAAAAAA

The day Margaux was born our new sofa arrived (thankfully!!) Perfect timing since getting Breastfeeding established in those first few weeks is not ideal if you're having to share one small sofa with the revolving door of visitors. And YES feeding every 45 minutes it absolutely normal thank you very much.. you'd be hungry 'again' if your tummy was not much bigger than a marble and you were also filling your nappy every 45 minutes.. 
Now I hate to waste money, but we did jump into a two seater sofa without really thinking about the space and how many children would want to me on 'my' sofa. Jamie has the big leather one. I have the small one. Take one guess where the girls want to sit 80% of the time.. yep. It's just not big enough. And it looks a little lost against our big back wall. And to think Jamie wasn't even sure we needed another sofa! SO here is a bit of sofa dreamin'.. wishin'.. hopin'.. and pinteresting ;) I really love these corner sofa's but our room just wouldn't work it.

OK so maaaaybe not white with two small humans..

Grey with cushions is definitely my jam. DFS (below) have definitely upped their game since we bought our leather John Lewis number five years ago AND all the small female humans and I would fit on this one!!

Or maybe a snuggler armchair would be better:

Rearranging,,

During these 'a little too busy' summer months I've been trying to make out house a little more friendly to the eye. Since we don't plan to stay here too long and I don't want to de-value our home in any way, the living room carpet is staying. Cream, thick plush, but not wonderfully pleasing to my eyes that long for wooden floors and persian rugs. So I began with the bedroom while I think of ways to sort out our lounge. All suggestions/pins welcome on the carpet front!

So, the bedroom. I've been de-cluttering, under the bed was just STUFF I have so much STUFF. 

So I removed said stuff and now the wicker baskets are on show down the side of the bed and my favourite shoes at the bottom giving me more space at the bottom of the wardrobe and downstairs on the shoe rack! The bed is not alongside the wall so that morning snuggles with miss Molly are a little safer- quite the gymnast that girl! Just like mama :) Next I would like to remove the wardrobes and replace them with rails but again, it's a good selling asset to have the fitted suite stay as the space is a little awkward so I'm yet to decide on whether it's the best idea or not..

So many plans, so little time! And I still haven't finished painting that hallway yet ;)

So as I have mentioned quite a bit recently it's nearly student loans day and for all student's

it's a pretty exciting day, the minus accounts go back into the black and everyone is feeling pretty good.

So I've made a cheeky wishlist of what I might like to get to reduce me back to red status..

So as always fashion first I am completely in love with these boots and have been for a long

time- I could never afford them and even if I could the money would probably go on

a holiday/teeth whitening but ohh aren't they pretty!!!

And isn't the Free People dress a summer dream??

I'm kinda in love with these rocking chairs and found some on ebay!! 

Now all I need to decide is white or pale blue??

And of course our whole house needs re-decorating but most of all our room and I

think I'd like to begin with our bedding. I've found a nice set from Primark for just over £20

Super excited to make the place feel a little more calming and clutter free.

*I make these wishlists in fun and wouldn't dream of buying everything on them! I've had some pretty nasty comments on tumblr before about money, and I would never buy anything that was reduce us to living out of our means- we will always be able to pay our bills and cover Molly's bum in nappies!

My Sugar Plum Fairy..

Molly's room has been the bane of my life since she arrived! Well, since before she arrived because the spaces I've had to work with have always been small. This was her first Nursery that I decorated in our flat last January before she was due. It was beautiful, but then she arrived and as she was sleeping in her moses basket in our room, her lovely Nursery became the dumping ground for all her stuff. Who knew babies had so much stuff!!

Anyhow, this was her first room when we moved into our three bedroom new build in the summer. But although it was all painted and set up, I just wasn't happy. I now regret my choice of pink and I wish I'd painted (well Jamie had painted) it white and used her toys and pictures to add colour. So I think that will be one to add onto my summer project list. Her cot is now against the front wall of the house and I have added a few more little touches, like pictures on the wall, bunting, and my favourite her little shoes amongst her ever growing library. There is still much to do but here are a few snippets of her space.

I love Molly's crumpled nap face!

 

My current want for her room- vintage fawns. I love her storytelling tree behind them, each of the characters are puppets, I can tell we will have a lot of fun playing with these when she is a bit bigger.

Homemade Knits. 

 This was an old gold picture frame for £1, I painted the frame white and painted the mountboard with chalkboard paint.

These book ends were given to me by a nun when I was little. I love passing on my beautiful things to Molly, 

 Lots of nappies, a relieving sight for a mother.

Delicate feet.

There's a bit of a woodlandy toadstool theme to Mollys room that just seemed to happen after I bought her grassy rug pictured above. I'd call it her feature rug and I can imagine her playing with her toys on it when she is bigger which is why I bought it. On my to do list for Molly's room then

• Paint her new shelves white and put them up.
• Keep a look out for old crates to replace the shelves with to create a feature on her wall (I have been in search of some under £20 since the summer and just can;t find any so I'm giving up for now and putting up some flat packed shelves for the time being)
• Repaint the walls white.
• De-clutter.
