Girls on tour: Wales pt. 2

We spent the whole holiday at the beach. Every single day we spent at least two hours by the water and you know what- it was warm! WARM!! The water was almost almost hot! It was amazing. I'm gutted Jamie didn't get to experience it actually, as he's never seen glorious Welsh weather before. It doesn't happen too often so we were really lucky to have it while we were visiting. Molly loved the sea and although we didn't make it anywhere else, it was so nice to just relax. Usually I'm trying to meet up with everyone who is around but actually it was nice to stay put for once and just let Molly run around and play with shells with no other agenda.

Sharing a room with her this time was great. The first night she was SO excited that she asked me to get into my bed so that we could 'chat' !! We discussed the stories we had just read and sang a song <3 Most nights she would end up getting in bed with me and snuggling, something she's not done often at home.
*Some of the pictures of Molly and I were taken by my mums hubster on his fancy camera (I want one!!)

And thus concludes the photo heavy Wales posts for 2014, 2013 and 2012 can be found here, here, here, here and here. Now I have the mammoth task of deciding which to print and which to delete hoho.

Girls on tour: Wales pt.1

My mum was in hospital on the first day Molly and I were in Gwynedd so we met up with one of my oldest and dearest friends. We had cake for second breakfast (I had the most incredible Rhubarb pie, I'm still fantasizing about it). And then went up to Rowan's family home halfway up a mountain to join some other new and old friends for a vegan lunch in the sunshine. I could move straight into this place. Other than the fact that I have a lot of memories here, I appreciate it in a new way after years of city living.
^^ I want to move into this shed- I won't even need insulation ;)
We ended the day at the beach. I had not dressed for the swimming as it had been freezing when we got up, but Molly had a great time until the tide came in.
^^ I'd also happily spend my summers in here. From having spent nights in the one on the far left I can tell you that they are surprisingly spacious!

Beaching it pt.2

That little girl loves her Taid so much. And he thinks she the best little creature. This trip was special, while we were here my Nain was getting emergency surgery on her hip so we were a little on edge, but I think my Taid appreciated a distraction and Molly of course adored showing her new friend Eva the beach. It was Eva's first time so I had to get some nice pictures for my school friend Elizabeth. Molly kept talking about Eva when we got back to Leicester, I say talking about, she kept shouting 'MOMMY WHERE IS EVA!?' I had to tell her she was sleeping.. I wish we lived nearer so that our girls could grow up together. Elizabeth and Enfys have been my friends for twelve years, I love them dearly and I'm overjoyed that Enfys will be moving closer to me this month! Now, the pictures:

Beaching it.

If we lived near the coast we would be at the beach weekly, K-man included. Naturally we spent as much time by the coast as the unpredictable welsh weather would allow.. Molly loved it, and obviously I took 200 photo's to 'document' how much ;)
That last one is my favourite <3

Life Happens.

I've been neglecting this space recently, life happens. I might catch up, but I'm not feeling particularly inspired. I have no 'plan' with this blog, other than a desire to change my domain name. There's a fan-fiction writer under the same url I do not wish to be mistaken for. I also chose teaandfairylights five years ago, I've outgrown it. It's time for a change. Suggestions on in a postcard comment please.

Molly and I were in Wales this week. I've been running a wool shop. I absolutely loved it, such a happy place. And my family got to enjoy a much needed break. Molly and I have been to various beaches, eaten wonderful bwyd cymraeg (welsh food) with good friends and explored the heart of my favourite mountain range. Molly says she 'loves tha mountains' joyously, and I agree.
My favourite place. I was proud I drove up there alone, there is not much space between the road and a big drop off the side of a mountain in places! A week and a half away from Jamie was tough. Much harder than I had anticipated. Isn't coming home wonderful? Then again so is a full tank of petrol(thanks ma), a music system that works (thanks Cesk) and a camera full of memories.. I think we need more road trips and breaks away as a three (four if I can find a dog friendly hotel).

*All of these were taken on my iphone, I'm impressed.

August in Wales.

We had good intentions of staying dry at the beach, mainly for the sake of my car. But it wasn't long
before the sandy toes came out to play! And my oh my! were they sandy.
..we'll skip over the fact that I only hoovered my car yesterday shall we ;)
I think her feet are my favourite. Next to her knees, and her mullet <3
