December (almost)

This is my festive post as we can't decorate until we move house (which will hopefully be sooner rather than later) I'll talk more about moving soon but I'm scared about putting it out there just in case anything falls through. Please keep fingers crossed.

SO. I may have already bought Molly's Christmas and New Years Eve dresses! But if I had any pennies I would buy for me, the red skirt for Christmas day (I'm cooking for 8, possibly 10 so lets be honest, I'll probably be in my pjs!) and this beautiful white number for NYE (both from Topshop)

Anyone feeling festive since we can start opening advent Calenders on Monday!?

I'm off to Budapest tonight for a long weekend with the ladies of the family.. Culture and Christmas markets here we come!

A Style Post,,

Another! I should get dressed more often, I was meant to go and get fabric today but I seem to of ran out of time,
I hope tomorrow is more productive, I'm exhausted!
Largely I'm sure because I decided to paint my landing, stairs and hallway in three hours yesterday.
And Molly runs away at any chance of freedom.. I especially like her very serious, running away face!

I wear: Dress- Minkpink, Hat- H&M, Boots- River Island, Bracelet- DIY, Nail Varnish- ESSIE
Molly wears: Tunic, Knickers and Boots all from Baby GAP

New in,,

One of my favourite things about having a baby girl is dressing her up.
Shopping for Molly, I never say no.  I almost feel too guilty to say no to anything I think she'd look sweet in
(for the record I think she'd look sweet in a bin bag) So here are some super sweet outfits we've picked
up for her recently that I adore ..we just need the sun to show it's face so that she can wear them!!
I'm actually really looking forward to Molly becoming aware
of dressing herself, I can't wait to help her find her own style and let
her steal things from my closet and borrow my lipstick for special occasions.
I love having a little girl..
I don't know what I'll do if we have a boy in the future.
Buy him a lot of bow ties and brogues probably :P

Pretty Prints.

I am loving Primark at the minute!! How gorgeous are those shoes, the fabric looks very Liberty.
I'm also very happy with the Cath Kidston style sunglasses case for £1.50! Hopefully my sunnies won't break and scratch this year. And a real Cath Kidston mug from the charity shop for £2!
It's been a good week.

I really want a new bag for the summer, on that fits everything INCLUDING my big camera.I have a plan to put everything into little bags and keep it organised for our days out so that we can just slip out of the house. (Having a baby means you can't forget ANYTHING!)
Any suggestions?

Birds, collars and cake.

Yesterday Molly and I went for a cake date with Lindsay and Sarah at a garden centre in the middle of nowhere. Leicestershires countryside is really beautiful, we need to appreciate it more and take Moo out for some more trips. Molly has just cut her ninth and tenth tooth in the space of a week, clever girl, so I felt she deserved a whole brownie to herself. I think she appreciated it! I forgot my camera so I didn't get any snaps unfortunately, I need a camera outing specific bag.

Molly wore a vest from H&M that I customised with scraps of Liberty (I think) print fabric from my mother. I will do a DIY for it at some point, it’s so cute I’d wear it myself!  I wore my new Nadinoo dress from Jamie :) I fell in love with the fabric but never thought I could afford it, such a lovely surprise. I also love the bird print shirt, I wish I could buy it all!

Getting a picture of Molly when she is constantly moving and into EVERYTHING is getting harder!! I know I keep saying it but bring on better lighting and the summer! It’s Molly’s first birthday next month, I have so much to organise and a hand-in due too! It’s come around so fast, I just want to slow time down a bit, or have my tiny new born back for a little.

As you can see I need to make room in the shed for my bike! I quietly took some quick pictures of the dress in the kitchen when Molly had her post-cake nap. I am in love with this dress, I've promised Jamie I will wear often it in lots of different ways as it cost so much, so be warned this is a print you will be seeing a lot!

What Molly wore- Vest DIY, Jumper- knitted by my ma, trousers- Zara, Socks- H&M
What I wore Dress- Nadinoo, Belt- Zara, Cardigan – Madewell and Snood- ASOS, Watch- Michael Kors, Teacup- Etsy

Last week, I went out.

Tonight Jamie and I are snuggling under our Fort watching It's Kind Of A Funny Story both on our laptops waiting for a sunday night curry :) This weekend has been wonderful.

Anyway, this is my catch up. As I have already mentioned, well at least on tumblr, my wonderful beautiful friend Hermione is going to America for a term at the end of the month and it was her leaving do wednesday night and this is what I wore, apologies for the bad night-lighting.
Dress- Urban Outfitters, Boots (although I swapped them for flats at Herms) Topshop, leather jacket- H&M, Fur collar- ASOS, Watch- Michael Kors, Bracelets- Topshop & Newlook.

I'm pretty pleased my hair rollers stayed for once normally the curls fall straight out! And I'm now wearing my arm party on my other wrist, as it turns out Michael Kors is NOT scratch resistant!! My nail varnish is by OPI with a Rimmel Matt topcoat. I can't wait to wear this as a day dress now it's seen the night :)

Tigers, Stripes and Walruses.

Yesterday we gave Mollymoo to Jamie's mum and dad for the evening so we could go on our 'date'. The date on which Jamie was supposed to give me my watch!! But it was just as nice having already been given the watch to have a night just the two of us :) First we went to watch the Leicester Tigers, my first ever Rugby game. It was so cold, we had to share a glove! We were planning on going to the cinema afterwards to see Sherlock Holmes, but Molly had been a little clingy lately so we decided just to go for dinner in case she was difficult getting to bed. I hope we get to see it before it finishes at the cinema. We went to Terracotta for an all you can eat buffet, needless to say I'm still full! We didn't watch much of the Rugby, it was so nice just to chat we're usually so focused on Molly and her toilet trips that day to really spend time together.

Because it was so COLD I wore Jeans from Madewell, Studded shoes from Topshop (instantly regretted not wearing socks!! I brought heeled boots to change into for dinner but my feet were so numb I thought my toes might break if I put them in!) Shirt from Primark, Jumper from Madewell (SO gutted they don't ship to the UK) and Jacket from H&M, Watch Michael Kors.

Got my (rose) gold watch and my gold chain..

SO Jamie came home with a Goldsmiths bag last night.. the watch I've wanted for over a year! I was so shocked, I cried!! I had to get three links removed it was so huge. I feel so lucky I can't stop staring at it, he's such a spoiler! I can hand on heart say I have the best boyfriend in the world :) 2012 I promise never to take my life for granted.

My grandparents came to visit today which was lovely, I got to give them their Christmas gifts. We went for dinner and they of course admired Molly :) I forgot to get any pictures which I am gutted about, but never mind. I hope to visit them again soon.

Tonight I met Chaz for a bit of late night shopping before she leaves for Wales, I'm gonna miss her so much we've hardly seen each other this holiday. I was a bit naughty and bought the blue polka dot trousers, but also grabbed a bargain with a pair of burgandy polka dot shorts I wanted at full price that sold out, they were only for £16.50!! Chaz also got deal of the year- a pair of low suede bugandy heels for £5!!! Marked as twenty but when we got to the till they came to £4.50 with student discount! We have a Topshop problem.

Me Peterpan collar dress- H&M, Skirt- Primark, Velvet Shoes- Topshop, Bag- Topshop, Watch- Michael Kors!
Chaz I must ask her 'what she wore', I might start featuring my friends outfits.. if they let me!

Double dresses

I'm a pretty big fan of the cold. I grew up in North Wales and it was the windiest, coldest, wettest place on earth. Leicester cold is unbelievably mild to me, perfect layering weather, or so I thought. Lately it's been brutal. Each morning I've wanted to stay in bed, not even think about wearing anything other than my patchwork pyjama trousers and a thick cardie. Well, today was no exception except I had a ton of stuff to do, so I mann'd up and put Molly in her bouncer while I showered and by some miracle GOT DRESSED. My ingenious idea of wearing 'double dresses' kept me toastie all day :) I have the underneath TFNC dress in nude as well as mink, I bought them in the summer for £15 each! Half price, perfect excuse to get both.

I'm sorry for my face, I don't know why I'm apologizing for my face, it's my expressionless face! But I'm dealing with a pretty intense cough at the minute, I'm not sleeping although that came about before the cough, and my nose is like a tap, so I do look a bit drained and grumpy.

That awkward moment when I didn't focus my camera.

The peterpan collar dress- TFNC, the breton dress- UO, the jacket- H&M, the velvet shoes- Topshop, the crochet bow- Forever 21, Snood- ASOS, Knit handwarmers/mittens- My mother made me these, she owns a wool shop and can knit ANYTHING!

GOD I love her!
Sorry this isn't better quality, I didn't set it up for Jamie and he knows nothing about cameras! I'm lucky I got a tripod, he was getting rather bored of photographing me (he's only done it twice!!)

Lazy Mondays.

I am a great time waster, and yesterday Jamie and I managed to do absolutely NOTHING all day (what are bank holidays for!?). I’ve had a little run of bad luck lately with Mae my car, and her front bottom (the big bit of plastic that protects the engine) fell off when I was driving my brother to his hotel on New Years Eve! It was quite scary as I was on a dual carriageway, but I was able to pull over and James tied it back onto the bottom of the car with an old pair of Primark red tights that had been waiting to be taken back since I didn’t wear them to a ‘Where’s Wally’ night out! Hurrah for bad costume ideas! Anyhow it is now scheduled to be fixed tomorrow :) maybe our motor luck has changed for 2012 :)

I also meant to blog yesterdays outfit, modelled on my birthday bike which didn’t arrive until two days before Christmas!! I had a little go on Christmas night, after Molly had gone to bed, Jamie built it for me but last week he went to pump up the tyres and couldn’t get the pump to work! So I haven’t ridden her since. She’s lovely to play with in the kitchen though :) I went for a comfy house outfit, nothing makes me happier than prancing around in long socks.. my heating bill does not appreciate this, so my favourite cardigan from NY is very much needed to stay extra snug!

Dress (which is a size 14 top) from H&M, Cardigan from Madewell, Long Socks from American Apparel, Boots from H&M

Watch- Casio, studded bracelet- Topshop, Skull bracelet- Converse, Gold link bracelet- Acessorize, Gemstone ring- Vender in NY, ‘S’ ring- UO
