Florida Outfits.

Florida

So we're off to Florida in October and I've been trying to fix up a wardrobe for the 17 days we will be there. I know we'll do a bit of shopping over there but with the exchange rate as it is I'm not planning on going crazy. It's not as though we have hot enough weather here to justify adding too much summer clothing. Plus once I finish feeding Margaux I'll put on at least 10lbs.

Anyway, I already have cut offs, sunglasses (not those!) and mint new balance. But OMG that dress, those Minnie Mouse shoes and pink METALLIC skirt! It's like the dream wardrobe to prance about at Disney in! All in Topshop - I miss my student loan!!

December (almost)

This is my festive post as we can't decorate until we move house (which will hopefully be sooner rather than later) I'll talk more about moving soon but I'm scared about putting it out there just in case anything falls through. Please keep fingers crossed.

SO. I may have already bought Molly's Christmas and New Years Eve dresses! But if I had any pennies I would buy for me, the red skirt for Christmas day (I'm cooking for 8, possibly 10 so lets be honest, I'll probably be in my pjs!) and this beautiful white number for NYE (both from Topshop)

Anyone feeling festive since we can start opening advent Calenders on Monday!?

I'm off to Budapest tonight for a long weekend with the ladies of the family.. Culture and Christmas markets here we come!

Lookbook//September

Dungarees/Topshop//T-shirt/Asos

This month has been rather wonderful despite my car breaking. Snuggling down, rearranging, pie-baking (from scratch!), record playing, dancing, hibernating, eating, tea drinking and enjoying the first throws of a new season. We get our winters quickly in England and seem to wait forever for Summer. We've been eating a lot of steaming baked potatoes and hot, hot beans. Molly says 'ooh very hot, mmm blow mommy.' I've been living in the above dungarees, cardigans and of course, pyjamas.

September has been wonderful and yet, today I actually had a pretty rubbish day. Today and Thursday were pretty rubbish days. (Friday's I work so I don't really get a chance to have any emotions ha!). Today I was a rubbish mummy, a rubbish friend, a rubbish cook, a rubbish cleaner-upper and generally rubbish person. Funny thing is, I have no reason to feel rubbish. We have a lovely relatively clean home. My car is fixed- and we're looking to buy a new one soon enough. My Nain will be out of hospital all fingers crossed on Monday. And plenty of things to look forward to (my Birthday and the booze cruise to Ostend). I have a sneaky feeling it's to do with all the sugar I've been eating recently. On wednesday I gorged on chocolate with Jamie in response to all the news that my car needs a lot of work done (hence the new car) which would explain my feelings on Thursday. And yesterday at work I ate a ton and I mean a ton of sweets left over from our Charlie event for Royal Marsden. Sugar slump. I should be able to pull myself out of it though right? I'm a bit of a slave to a slump unfortunately. It's something I really want to change. In fact I even tried to meditate myself out of it while Molly took a nap which resulted in a cry and my taking a nap! When we woke up just as slumpy I didn't even go for the autumn walk I had planned, and I mean I had this walk planned all week because Jamie spent the day at an away game. We stayed in and I was the most rubbish version of myself.

So, tomorrow NO MORE SLUMPING. We are going to have lovely Sunday all three of us and take the dog for a big walk :) ..And I won't be eating any sugar for a week! Discalimer: I will most definitely be eating some form of sugar, I am an addict.

New In,,

Autumn/Winter Style.
My absolute favourite! Though I am growing to like warmer temperatures my heart will always
long for layers and tights (forever pale). So my favourites at the moment are all black with a
splash of pastel or neon. Who can say no to a neon and grey knit??
Wearing this outfit with tights today. It's actually rather nice to snuggle. I have to go to town but
I'd really rather stay home with Moo and stick on a Harry Potter. I'm getting excited for christmas already
what's wrong with me!? Prepare for some birthday wishlists later..

Wears,,

Wears for my day of thunder and dissertation conversation. And yes, I did kinda go for a Kelli Murray look today.. I just wish I had the ALDO studded shoes opposed to the Topshop Vectra's, and a white shirt opposed to striped! (I do in fact have a sleeveless white one but I forgot it existed.. another reason I need to get on with my ebaying) The weather's been a little crazy today- at one point the sky went black, we had hail as big as golf balls and thunder and lighting like nothing I've heard before! Molly was spending the day with her childminder and after my dissy meeting I had planned to get my hair cut(it's been six months!) however after I discovered a big fat parking ticket (I was 15 minutes late!) and then the weather went a little bi-polar so I decided it was probably better for me to be at home where I could get Molly more easily if need be rather than get stranded in the city. Apparently she loved the thunderstorm while I stayed indoors getting on with the cleaning and the washing (I have riveting times when Molly spends the day with her pals can you tell?). Oooh I'm so excited to get on with my work! I was actually late getting back to my car because I was in the library- I now have a book list as long as my arm. Today has been a good day today (minus the parking ticket.. and the fact my hair is now out of control long). Next on my to do list, get a hair cut!

Wish.List.

Since becoming addicted to Sietske and Aimee's blogs I've been dreaming about a more simple wardrobe. I'm always mixing up my styles anyway, well not as much as Bebe- I never have time to accessorize that much! But in my head that's how drastic I switch my wardrobe mindsets. And at the moment it's all simple shapes, grey, blacks, whites and denim with flashes of pastel or neon and gold accessories. Oh and I've found a Cartier Love Bracelet on the cheap, welll not so cheap. It's so beautiful. Sighh.

I hope everyone is looking forward to a wonderful evening, I'm spending mine alone on the sofa after a long 24 hours with a teething baby. (Yep we were up ever 40 minutes last night from about 11 'til about 3.30 and up at 6am!) Bring on the ice cream I say! Tomorrow is mama's lie in day ;)
Happy Friday!

IT'S OFFICIAL!

I've finished second year!!!!
And so to celebrate I'm spending the afternoon in bed, making lists,
painting my nails and watching Harry Potter.
Pretty darn good!

So, a summer wishlist.
The glasses to go with all our summer outfits,
the leggings to brighten up outfits on a chillier day (I also want them in mint!)
the hat for a summery twist on old outfits,
the necklace because it is perfect,
and THOSE Nike's.

I'm gutted I wasn't as prepared as last year,
LAST year Liberty's Nikes S/S collection came out
I ordered my beautiful hightops that morning.
I shall forever regret not grabbing these PERFECT Airs!!!
It's also making me SO angry they are now all over ebay for £150!
Anyone willing to sell me a pair in a size 3 or 4 for £90
please let me know.. I'm a bit desperate haha!

Hello There Antlers.

Again Primark have been killing it lately and I snagged this mint belt for £1!! £1!!!! The sandals were a
bit more pricey at £12 but since I can't find any Saltwaters over here I thought they'd do,
and would look very nice in the summer with these crochet shorts and a tan.
Loving anything crochet at the moment.
And colour, cannot get enough of my pastel jeans and bright nail varnish!

DIY Camera Strap.

I've been looking for a nice classic leather camera strap for my camera,
but I still can't seem to find one anywhere,
And I kept dropping my canon!
So I decided I'd have to make one for myself using Jamie's old belt to avoid
looking like a tourist/smashing the canon.

A sewing box isn't vital, but that's where
my small fabric scraps and pins are.
(I used the pins when I was cutting the fabric to fit)
Also, I'd recommend painting the red border before gluing on the belt and fabric
as I made a bit of a mess of mine!!
Hindsight 20/20!

I'm wearing my new peach jeans from Tophop, Vest- Miss Selfridge, Shoes- Fred Perry, Hat- River Island.

I think it looks much nicer and I'm no longer in danger of breaking her!
Or alternatively I've seen a tutorial which covers the strap in glitter,
Or all in floral fabric.
Definitely better than looking like a tourist in your own garden.

Mint And Moustaches.

'We' don't celebrate Valentines..
We did our food shop instead!
But Molly and Mummy made daddy a card for his desk,
Mummy painted her nails to match,
And took a few photos.
Middle or side parting?
-Now my fringe has grown out I get to choose!

Here's Molly's first Valentines ever!
It all feels like it was yesterday.
What would I of said to myself this time last year?
Save some money.
Relax about the cake, you're not going to suddenly get fat.
Don't sweat the washing!
..but don't leave it for a week either!
Enjoy bed days, have more!
Sniff Molly and sleep next to her as much as you can.
Time really does fly,
Relish it.

Blue Waffle.

Today I had a date with Molly to get Jamie’s birthday presents and I wore my new favourite jumper out of the house. So far it’s had a few brushes with death due to Molly’s chocolate hands, and a curry, but I’m quickly learning to be a little more careful! I wish I’d bought it in peach too now.  So snugly.

When we got home Molly was all shopped out and had a nap so I tried out my new remote :) Ross has moved out, although he still has a mattress to get rid of so I can't set it up yet but I put the better lighting to good use. I'll do a decorating post no doubt at some point, I don't want to clutter it like I have the rest of the house. On the bottom pictures I’m sat on Molly’s new lady-bird toy!! It’s so cool I can’t wait for her to use it! I can’t believe it’s her birthday in eleven days!! So much to do. We’re having a party :) Any DIY party suggestions? We're baking and making bunting.

Last week, I went out.

Tonight Jamie and I are snuggling under our Fort watching It's Kind Of A Funny Story both on our laptops waiting for a sunday night curry :) This weekend has been wonderful.

Anyway, this is my catch up. As I have already mentioned, well at least on tumblr, my wonderful beautiful friend Hermione is going to America for a term at the end of the month and it was her leaving do wednesday night and this is what I wore, apologies for the bad night-lighting.
Dress- Urban Outfitters, Boots (although I swapped them for flats at Herms) Topshop, leather jacket- H&M, Fur collar- ASOS, Watch- Michael Kors, Bracelets- Topshop & Newlook.

I'm pretty pleased my hair rollers stayed for once normally the curls fall straight out! And I'm now wearing my arm party on my other wrist, as it turns out Michael Kors is NOT scratch resistant!! My nail varnish is by OPI with a Rimmel Matt topcoat. I can't wait to wear this as a day dress now it's seen the night :)

Tigers, Stripes and Walruses.

Yesterday we gave Mollymoo to Jamie's mum and dad for the evening so we could go on our 'date'. The date on which Jamie was supposed to give me my watch!! But it was just as nice having already been given the watch to have a night just the two of us :) First we went to watch the Leicester Tigers, my first ever Rugby game. It was so cold, we had to share a glove! We were planning on going to the cinema afterwards to see Sherlock Holmes, but Molly had been a little clingy lately so we decided just to go for dinner in case she was difficult getting to bed. I hope we get to see it before it finishes at the cinema. We went to Terracotta for an all you can eat buffet, needless to say I'm still full! We didn't watch much of the Rugby, it was so nice just to chat we're usually so focused on Molly and her toilet trips that day to really spend time together.

Because it was so COLD I wore Jeans from Madewell, Studded shoes from Topshop (instantly regretted not wearing socks!! I brought heeled boots to change into for dinner but my feet were so numb I thought my toes might break if I put them in!) Shirt from Primark, Jumper from Madewell (SO gutted they don't ship to the UK) and Jacket from H&M, Watch Michael Kors.
